The story behind MusiCure is extraordinary because this specially designed original music – created for physical relaxation and mental inspiration – is backed by International research and scientific documentation by independent health care professionals in Scandinavia and USA.

Direct feedback from thousands of hospitalized patients and clinical experience from numerous research projects constitute the foundation on which the composer Niels Eje has created the MusiCure music, and 5 years of research and development preceded the first release in this CD series.

Today MusiCure is used in many contexts, by thousands of private individuals and health care research all over the world and many scientific articles about the effect of this music have been published in International medical journals.

So far the MusiCure CD series has only been available at pharmacies in Denmark and Norway, but through the collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment the music will now be made available to the public in many countries.

The ninth CD in the series entitled “SCANDINAVIA” is soon to be released, and besides being the composer’s personal tribute to his natural heritage, the music on this album is also designed for relaxation and inspiration across global cultural and musical boundaries.

Sony Music Entertainment:

“Being involved with Gefion Records on a project like MusiCure is very exciting for us at Sony Music Entertainment.

NEW YORK, NY – On October 12th, the first new Michael Jackson song to emerge since the world mourned the loss of this musical icon will be released – a brand new single entitled “This Is It.” Soon after, Sony Music Entertainment’s Columbia/Epic Label Group will release the two-disc album This Is It featuring the music that inspired Sony Pictures’ forthcoming film MICHAEL JACKSON’S THIS IS IT. This two-disc album will be available internationally on October 26th and North America on October 27th to coincide with the worldwide release of the motion picture which arrives in theaters on October 28th and runs for a limited two-week engagement.

“This song only defines, once again, what the world already knows – that Michael is one of God’s greatest gifts, “ comments John McClain, co-producer of the album.

Disc one will feature the original album masters of some of Michael’s biggest hits arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film. The disc ends with two versions of the never-released “This Is It.” This song is featured in the film’s closing sequence and includes backing vocals by Michael’s brothers, the Jacksons.

Disc two offers previously unreleased versions of some of the artist’s classic tracks. This disc also features a touching spoken word poem from Michael Jackson entitled “Planet Earth” that has never been heard before.

The two-disc This is It is a stand-alone companion to the motion picture and includes a 36-page, commemorative booklet featuring exclusive photos of Michael from his last rehearsal.

The motion picture MICHAEL JACKSON’S THIS IS IT will offer Jackson fans and music lovers worldwide a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the performer as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts that would have taken place beginning this summer in London’s O2 Arena. Chronicling the months from April through June, 2009, the film is produced with the full support of the Estate of Michael Jackson and drawn from more than one hundred hours of behind-the-scenes footage, featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs for the show. Audiences will be given a chance to discover the man they never knew through this privileged and private look at Jackson. In raw and candid detail, MICHAEL JACKSON’S THIS IS IT captures the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius and great artist at work as he creates and perfects his final show.

Kenny Ortega, who was both Michael Jackson’s creative partner and the director of the stage show is also directing the film, which is being produced by Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega and Paul Gongaware. Executive producers are John Branca and John McClain. The film will be distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Releasing.

Tickets for the limited two-week engagement of the film go on sale beginning September 27. For more information about the motion picture, please visit the website www.thisisit-movie.com

One of the world’s largest music companies uses Mozes to incorporate text messaging, voice and the Web into direct marketing strategy

Palo Alto, Ca. June 13, 2008 -Mozes, (www.mozes.com), the service that connects people to what they love right from their mobile phones, has been selected by SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT for the creation and implementation of a series of comprehensive mobile marketing initiatives.

SONY BMG will use Mozes to power interactions between artists and their fans, building fan loyalty and driving new commerce opportunities. Using Mozes, SONY BMG can now easily create and deploy a variety of mobile campaigns involving text messaging, voice and the web for its diverse artists.

“Mozes gives us a great way to help fans connect with their favorite artists through their mobile devices,” said Thomas Hesse, President, Global Digital Business and U.S. Sales, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. “For example, an artist can send text message updates to fans, and fans can use their mobile phones to leave text and voice messages for artists, as well as to check out messages left by others. The service can also facilitate a wide range of interactive events, including text polls through which fans can develop consensus about their favorite tracks or performances. It’s an interesting piece of the overall marketing puzzle, and we are happy to be working with them.”

“Being able to communicate directly with customers on the mobile phone creates a powerful connection that fosters outstanding engagement and loyalty,” said Dorrian Porter, CEO of Mozes. “In music, that relationship is even more important because the fan-artist connection is so personal. We are excited to be working with SONY BMG to power campaigns that will not only generate revenue, but deliver an amazing service for SONY BMG artists to connect with their fans.”
About Mozes, Inc.

Music bundle on Nokia devices to include SONY BMG content

April 22, 2008 — London, United Kingdom – Nokia today announced that SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT has officially joined Nokia Comes With Music, a revolutionary way for people to discover and enjoy music with their Nokia device.

“As one of the leading major music companies in the world, our collaboration with SONY BMG means we can offer a huge range of fantastic music from both international and local artists via Comes With Music,” said Tero Ojanperä, executive vice president and head of the Nokia Entertainment and Communities business. “It’s great to have them on board as we move forward with bringing our unlimited music bundle to the market.”

Mr. Ojanpera continued: “Nokia Comes With Music is an innovation that not only helps people discover and enjoy music, but also expand the overall business and revenue for the benefit of artists, labels and other rights holders.”

“This initiative represents a critical new way of gaining access to music, through which fans will be able to explore SONY BMG’s vast catalog of recordings for an entire year,” commented Thomas Hesse, President, Global Digital Business & U.S. Sales, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. “We think this business model will encourage users to sample a wide range of material, expand their musical tastes, and listen to more music than ever before. In the process, we think it will provide new opportunities to artists from every genre of music, and increase demand for music overall.”

People who buy a Nokia Comes With Music device will have a year of access to the SONY BMG rich catalog of music. Consumers will be able to download tracks to both their mobile device and computer through the Nokia Music Store during the first twelve months that they own their Nokia device.

At the end of the one year period, they can keep their downloaded tracks and, should they purchase a new compatible device or computer, they can transfer their downloaded material by substituting their new device or computer for the original devices. As a result, music fans who participate in the Comes With Music experience will be able to keep their downloads on their device and/or computer for the rest of their lives.

Consumers will have a number of attractive options for continuing to get new music after the Nokia Comes With Music subscription is over: they will be able to continue to purchase additional tracks from the Nokia Music Store, or move on to a Nokia “unlimited access” subscription service to enjoy new releases and catalog tracks not downloaded during the initial year.

Comes With Music is expected to launch in the second half of 2008 on a range of Nokia devices in selected markets.

About Nokia Comes With Music

Nokia Comes With Music enables people to buy a Nokia device with a year of unlimited access to tracks from a range of great artists – past, present and future. Once the year is complete, customers can keep all their music without having to worry about it disappearing when their subscription is over. Universal Music Group International and SONY BMG ENTERTAINMENT are part of the launch and Nokia is in discussion with many other international labels.

Among the offerings incorporated under the arrangement are mobile products such as master ring tones, ring back tones and full track downloads, and online products such as audio and video downloads, as well as subscription and streaming services.

The agreement is designed to simplify current royalty collection arrangements and expand and develop online and mobile markets in the region. The agreement also calls for a single publishing royalty rate for the use of all underlying copyrights.

Guy Henderson, Senior Vice President International, Sony/ATV Music Publishing commented: “This is a great opportunity for all partners in this venture, to grow their businesses through cooperation. The digital business in the Asian region is so important, it is essential that all participants work with each other to ensure a legitimate, accurate and all encompassing licensing and collection process. The inclusion of India, both digitally and physically, is of particular importance as we look to develop new, legitimate, markets.”

It’s a winning proposition for all involved.”

Sony/ATV Music Publishing and SONY BMG will work together with the performing rights society in each territory to implement this agreement for the benefit of authors, artists and other rights owners, digital service providers and consumers alike. This historic deal between two major rights holders will provide clarity regarding licensing procedure in many countries of the region for the first time, and will support the efforts of those organizations who want to provide legitimate digital music services. New Company to Leverage 30 Million Unique MySpace Music Traffic to Activate Monetization Around Music Content

MySpace Music to Offer Digital Downloads, Ad-supported Audio and Video Streaming, Mobile Storefront and Sponsorship Solutions

LOS ANGELES—April 3, 2008—MySpace, the world’s biggest and most popular social network, and three of the world’s largest music companies, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG), today announced the formation of a landmark joint venture, MySpace Music. The new company marries the most popular music community in the world with the most comprehensive catalogue of music content available online, unveiling a host of new music services and monetization models. The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

The product vision for MySpace Music is to build on the existing traffic, credibility, and popularity of the MySpace Music platform (http://www.music.myspace.com) by creating a fully integrated 360 degree global music solution. MySpace Music will feature the network’s first integrated e-commerce solution and evolve the user’s ability to discover, share, and socialize by adding commerce and music management tools. The new offering will seamlessly transform the MySpace Music experience into a groundbreaking mix of community, commerce, and discovery. The product will roll iteratively in the coming months.

The MySpace Music product will integrate new content and music capabilities across three primary areas: the MySpace Music home page, the site’s more than 5 million artist profile pages, and individual user home pages, providing bands and fans multiple touch points to discover, share, and purchase music and merchandise in one place for the portable device of their choosing. MySpace Music empowers bands and fans with unprecedented digital music service and e-commerce platform within MySpace that will include DRM-free digital downloads, ad-supported audio and video streaming, a mobile storefront (powered by News Corporation’s Jamba mobile company), as well as various sponsorship solutions.

For users, MySpace Music will have the richest music experience on the Web by enabling the site’s global community to discover music and then download, stream and personalize music content. The personalized music management product will allow users to control their entire MySpace Music experience directly from their user page by creating playlists and having access to enhanced purchase opportunities and search functionality.

For the labels’ artists, the formation of MySpace Music will offer them the opportunity to provide their fans with digital downloads as well as mobile ringtones, SMS, and artist wallpapers, all directly from their artist profiles. Additionally, artists will be able to evolve their MySpace experience beyond the promotional by now monetizing their full repository of content with a 360 degree solution including not only the sale of digital content, but also physical goods such as t-shirts and concert tickets.

Already one of the cultural cornerstones of MySpace, the new company is uniquely positioned to quickly launch its new music product with nearly 30 million unique monthly visitors for the Music channel and its more than 5 million artists. As the most popular music community in the world today, MySpace Music has the greatest collection of artist profiles, tour dates, artist blogs, music videos, and artist photos in the world. Additionally, MySpace Music has the participation of millions of major, indie, and unsigned artists via their music profiles and interaction with the MySpace community.

Immediately, the new MySpace Music will be able to tap into the world’s largest library of content to offer unique audio and video content for the MySpace community. MySpace’s rich history with the music community has already included album exclusives from the biggest major and independent acts in the world. The new library will enhance existing MySpace Music franchises including Secret Shows, MySpaceLIVE!, Transmissions, and The List.

The new company will be based in Los Angeles and will have a dedicated executive management team to oversee the business. In the coming months, MySpace Music will begin to roll new content and product functionality within the existing music channel. The process will be iterative to take full advantage of the popularity and existing traffic to the Music channel already booming within MySpace.

Tokyo, Japan, February 21st, 2008 — BMG JAPAN, Inc. (“BMG JAPAN”) and Hostess Entertainment (“Hostess”) announced today that they have reached an agreement for BMG JAPAN to exclusively distribute the Hostess catalogue and new releases.

This unique strategic indie-major partnership will begin March 1st, 2008, and will see all Hostess repertoire from exclusive partners Domino Recording Co, The PIAS Group (PIAS Recordings, Wall of Sound, Different, PIAS UK/Integral), recent high-profile signing V2/Cooperative Music (V2, Wichita, Bella Union, City Slang) and other select artist management and label partners distributed through BMG JAPAN.

BMG JAPAN will provide back-end distribution management as well as offer nationwide support for sales & broadcast media promotion. Hostess will continue to manage all aspects of its business and release schedule with its in-house marketing, digital, promotion and sales departments.

The new partnership follows successful working relationships between the two parties on both Label Mobile (Hostess & BMG JAPAN launched a unique co-marketing partnership for Hostess repertoire through the Label Mobile system in 2007), and the recent Gold-selling Radiohead album “In Rainbows” released by _Xurbia_Xendless/Hostess which was distributed by BMG JAPAN.

Upcoming releases through this new partnership will include The Kills, Los Campesinos, Blood Red Shoes, Vitalic, Mogwai, Yo Majesty, Bloc Party and the hotly anticipated album from Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Miles Kane (Rascals/Little Flames).

“Andrew has built a reputation as a dynamic and proactive partner for international artists seeking release in Japan, and Hostess continues to grow with impressive speed. BMG Japan is unique among the major record companies in Japan in the very independent and collaborative relationships we have built with both international and domestic artist management, and the match with Andrew’s vision has been clear from the start. I am delighted to see our relationship evolve into this strategic partnership, and believe our relative strengths will join to propel Hostess toward significant further growth.”

– Daniel DiCicco, President, BMG JAPAN, Inc.

“With Hostess continuing to evolve and grow at such a rapid rate it’s been clear we needed to align ourselves with a distribution partner who could both help us maximize the potential of our exciting repertoire and also show a level of flexibility and a dynamic that’s generally all too rare within the Japanese industry. BMG Japan have proved to us through our previous projects together that they not only have those qualities in abundance but they’re also highly motivated and committed to helping Hostess grow in the way Hostess itself wants to grow. Despite interesting alternatives elsewhere, Daniel (DiCicco) made this an easy choice for me to make.”

– Andrew Lazonby, Founder & President, Hostess Entertainment

SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT music videos now on MSN Video

London 5th February 2008 – The latest music videos, news and information on some of the world’s most popular artists from one of the world’s biggest music companies, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, will soon be available on Microsoft Europe’s free, video-on-demand internet channel – MSN Video.

As a result of this agreement, music fans will be able to choose from a wide selection of videos and exclusive videos as well as backstage footage, interviews, artist biographies, tour information and photos from some of the biggest superstars, representing virtually every genre of music, all without ever having to go to a specialist music site or leave their PC.

Videos from SONY BMG’s vast rosters of superstar and emerging artists will add to the existing selection of news, music, movie trailers, celebrity gossip and other entertainment videos on MSN Video.

Geoff Sutton, Executive Producer, MSN Europe, said, “Being able to check out new videos from your favourite artists on MSN Video and then share the links with your mates over Windows Live Messenger is a powerful thing.

“We know that music is a big part of the Messenger audiences’ lives and we have a long history of providing premium music content on MSN including exclusive webcasts such as the Live Earth concerts in summer 2007. Adding premium video content from SONY BMG is a great way for us to offer even more music choice to our viewers.”

Ulrich Jäerkel, Senior Vice President, Digital & Business Development at SONY BMG in Europe commented, “With a substantial audience across Europe, MSN is a great way for our artists to connect with music fans throughout the region. We look forward to working with MSN Europe as we give their viewers the chance to experience great music, and share it with their friends.”

The European deal covers Sony BMG video content for the UK, France, and Germany with the Netherlands Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Russia and Poland to follow.

MSN Video is currently viewed by more than 6 million European unique users per month. The MSN Video audience grew by 60% in five months from July to November 2007 in established markets (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands) and nearly 70% taking into account the addition of MSN Video in Sweden and Denmark. Partnering with leading content and entertainment providers such as MTV is part of Microsoft’s strategy to build the MSN audience further and deliver increased and better targeted results for its advertisers.

MusicPass To Debut At Five Retailers Across Canada In Late January

New York, NY – Monday, January 7, 2008 — SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT today announced the launch of Platinum MusicPass, a series of digital album cards that enable consumers to download full-length albums, and in many cases special bonus content, in the form of high-quality MP3 files. The first 37 titles in the series, which represent musical genres ranging from Rock and Pop to R&B and Country, will debut on January 15th, 2008 and by the end of the month will be available at 4,500 retail outlets across the United States. In Canada, MusicPass will debut in late January of 2008.

“The introduction of MusicPass is an important part of SONY BMG’s ongoing campaign to bring its artists’ music to fans in new and innovative ways, and to develop compelling new business models,” commented Thomas Hesse, President, Global Digital Business & U.S. Sales, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. “The MP3 files delivered through MusicPass play on computers, as well as on all MP3 players, including iPods. This makes them a simple, easy to use solution that will appeal to fans who already access their music on the Internet, as well as to consumers who are just getting into the digital realm. The cards themselves are high-quality collectibles featuring artist images and album information. They’re a great choice whether you’re buying for yourself, or as a gift for occasions ranging from a birthday to Valentine’s Day.”

According to the 2007 American Express Gift Card Survey, Americans plan to spend 25% of their total gift spending on gift cards, up from 13% in 2005. 61% of shoppers said they were planning to purchase at least one gift card, and on average intended to purchase a total of six cards.

In the United States, MusicPass cards will be available at Best Buy, Target, and Fred’s on January 15th, with Trans World stores (Coconuts, FYE, Wherehouse, & Spec’s) and Winn-Dixie rolling out the cards by the end of January.

In Canada, participating retailers include Best Buy, CD Plus, Future Shop, Shoppers Drug Mart and Wal-Mart. In addition, HMV will launch MusicPass in Canada during the first calendar quarter of 2008.

“We see MusicPass as a great way to bring digital music to the physical retail space,” Mr. Hesse added. “We believe it will have strong appeal for a broad range of consumers, and that it will ultimately expand both the digital and physical markets for music. As we begin the roll out of this impressive new product we are extremely encouraged by the high levels of enthusiasm that MusicPass has generated among our artists and launch partners, and we look forward to making music fans across the U.S. and Canada a part of the MusicPass experience.”

“We’re happy to be participating in the launch of a new physical format of digital music for retail,” commented Jennifer Johnston Schaidler, Vice President, Music, Best Buy. “Physical products like this will be another way for Best Buy to deliver music and entertainment to our customers in a manner that suits their needs whether it is an impulse purchase, gift, or great collectible. Digital music doesn’t need to be restricted to online environments. We look forward to learning how physical products can help grow the digital marketplace.”

Rich Romano, Prepaid Card Sales Manager, Winn-Dixie, commented, “We are excited to have the opportunity to partner with SONY BMG to launch this initiative. An extensive list of titles and bonus material from superstar artists makes this offering unlike any other in the marketplace; it gives our customers the opportunity to purchase new release albums while they do their grocery shopping.”

SONY BMG is offering Platinum MusicPass cards at leading national retailers through a technology and distribution relationship with InComm, the nation’s largest marketing and technology provider for gift and music cards and other prepaid products.

“We are excited to be working with SONY BMG on Platinum MusicPass,” commented Brooks Smith, InComm President and CEO, “We believe people want a physical product as part of their music purchase, and these cards speak directly to that desire — they have great graphics and a quality look and feel that will make them highly collectible.
